Frequently Asked Questions
When were you founded?
Commonwealth Leagues Utd. was founded by Nicholas Mahrt in October 2012.
Where are you located?
Our offices are located in the BHive in the Central West End neighborhood of St. Louis, Mo. We are upstairs from Brennan's on Maryland Ave. for those of you who know St. Louis City.
You run sports leagues. How does that make you a public charity?
We provide opportunity for children and young adults to pursue their athletic and educational goals and dreams, and we do so without seeking profit or glory. Our new community projects aim to benefit children in St. Louis City who otherwise would not have sports opportunities.
How old do you have to be to play in your summer collegiate BAseball leagues?
You must be a graduated high school baseball player entering college or on an active collegiate roster to play in our summer collegiate leagues. There is no age limit, just an educational one.
For what ages do you operate Fox Park Sports Ass’n and Cahokia Express?
We currently have a 7 – 10 year old age limit for Fox Park Sports Ass’n. To participate in Cahokia Express, one must be in high school.
